General Conditions and Terms of Sale
The sale price of all merchandise is F.O.B. point of shipping. All selling prices are subject to change at any time without notice. Any applicable federal, provincial, state, local or other government taxes, duties or charges on the sale or shipment of products shall be added to the price and paid by the purchaser. Our system displays your price in the currency according to your account setup. For our Canadian customers, prices are always shown in Canadian Dollars (CAD). For our Customer in the United States of America, they will see prices in US Dollars (USD). If you have any questions about the currency in use, please contact us prior to payment.
Credit will be extended with a completed and approved credit application. Standard terms are net 30 days from date of invoice for those qualified accounts. Orders without credit approval require payment by Cash, Certified Cheque, Money Order, Debit Card, or Credit Card (MasterCard or Visa only). For online customers, only Credit Card (MasterCard or Visa only) will be accepted. All merchandise remains the property of Marathon Fasteners & Hardware Inc. until full payment has been received. Late payment charges of 2% monthly, or 24% per annum, may be added to accounts when payment period has expired, in the event that invoices remain unpaid.
All shipments are F.O.B. point of shipping. Orders are shipped via the best possible carrier at our discretion. Freight amounts are prepaid and charged on your invoice. If a specific carrier is requested, all related charges and risks become the customer's responsibility and the carrier will bill you collect.
Out of stock / Backorders:
If a regularly stocked item was out of stock or back-ordered, no shipping charges will apply. We reserve the right to make partial shipments on out of stock items.
Items that are special ordered will be subject to any applicable freight charges and will be added to your invoice. Items that are special ordered may not be cancelled after confirmation or returned for any reason.
All Cancellations must be in writing by email, fax or mail.
All returns must be authorized by Marathon and will not be accepted without a RMA Number. Authorized returns must be shipped to Marathon with freight prepaid. A 20% restocking fee plus any applicable freight charges will be applied to the credit prior to issue. There will be no cash refunds. All returns must be made within 15 days of Invoice date. Items must be in its original packaging, unused and ready for resale.
All claims are subject to and require an RMA number for processing. All claims regardless of reason must be made within 15 days of receipt. All returns or exchanges must be made within 15 days issuance of the RMA number. Any claims for damages in transit will not be accepted, ensure you inspect any deliveries thoroughly before signing acceptance. Please contact the carrier directly regarding any damage in transit.
Claims for defective merchandise must be made within 15 days of receipt. Return or exchanges of defective product must be made within 15 days of RMA date. All merchandise must be checked upon arrival and any claims for shipping errors must be made within 15 days of receipt. Return or exchange of shipping error must be made within 15 days of RMA date. Any claims for damages in transit will not be accepted and we accept no liability or responsibility for damage during transit. Please contact the carrier immediately and ensure that you thoroughly inspect all deliveries before signing acceptance.
Most products sold by Marathon Fasteners & Hardware Inc. are covered by manufacturer's warranties that provide a limited lifetime warranty which guards against defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the products. These warranties are the sole responsibility of the manufacturers and may vary according to each respective manufacturer but in all cases cover replacement or credit of the item on warranty only and specifically exclude any applicable removal costs, delivery costs, and installation costs. All warranties are void when products have been incorrectly installed, exposed to excessive loads or subject to abuse.
