Organize Your Drawers!

No, not those drawers! Of course I mean your kitchen drawers. You better organize!

An overwhelming number of households, possibly even yours, have the dreaded but almost necessary, everything drawer aka. the junk drawer. It’s that drawer in which a bunch of random stuff gets shoved until it overflows and won’t close. You dig through it to find what you really need but it can be a painstaking and often frustrating process. And if there happens to be a sharp object hidden, it also becomes a hazard to your family’s safety.

Ways to Organize Your Drawers

A simple drawer organizer insert can easily take care of this imminent problem. With multiple different configurations and measurements to fit each drawer size, you get the opportunity, at the very least, to divide all the random stuff into more specific categories. The addition of a non-slip drawer mat can also keep the entire tray in place, preventing the contents from sliding or moving every time you open and close the drawer.

Metal and plastic utensil divider inserts are also a great way to organize silverware within a drawer. Like the more generic dividers, they come in an array of configurations, suited to your needs and drawer dimensions. Just set it inside the drawer, place similar or the same utensils in their dedicated spots and away you go.

No matter what, organizing your kitchen drawers makes a world of difference. From both a convenience standpoint as well as safety, organization is always beneficial.

Quick tip: Place the most commonly used utensils in the closest spots relative to the drawer front. It will create easier access and a better overall workflow.
